"I'm just saying, you really have to kiss Milliardo's ass to get ahead in this outfit," Perkins lamented and then blushed as he thought about his statement. "Not that I'm gay or anything."
(What a moron.) Duo checked his rifle sight.
(A complete moron) Heero fiddled with an uncooperative buckle on his pack.
"Everyone knows Peacecraft is hot after guys, but I don't swing that way, you know?" Perkins continued nervously.
(Good, wouldn't want you in the 'club' with me) Duo counted his ammo.
(If you were, I'd turn heterosexual) Heero grumbled at the buckle and then took it off to replace it.
"He's good looking enough to make anyone think of switching, but not me," Perkins blathered.
(Not as good looking as Heero) Duo slowly paid out the straps of amo into a container carefully.
(Not even close to as good looking as Duo) Heero finally managed to buckle the strap and checked their freeze dried supplies.
"I know some guys like two women going at it, but not me," Perkins continued with a hot blush. "I just don't get that kind of thing at all. Not that I don't like women! I just..." he faltered and then tried to recover, "You know, more breasts and butts and all of that, but still.... I saw two guys groping and kissing each other once, came around the corner and there they were... going at it... I had to walk away! Walk away I tell you!"
(If only Heero would let me kiss and grope him.) Duo locked down the ammo and straightened, adjusting his pants uncomfortably.

"I am not Gay!" Perkins finished with a flourish.
Duo grinned and looked up at Heero. Heero was smirking back. "Looks like you're the only one who isn't," Duo chuckled.
"Looks like it," Heero agreed.
"Stop kidding around, guys!" Perkins complained. "Saddle up and let's get the mission going. You better not start any rumors about me. I'll know you did it!"
(I've got better things to do now) Duo bumped Heero's shoulder as they boarded the transport behind Perkins.
(Can't wait until this mission is over. We need to talk... and other things.) Heero laughed and bumped Duo back.
