Birth place:L2, Gundam; Deathscythe, Duo was a street orphan at a young age in a gang led by a boy called Solo. After a severe plague, Solo dies and Duo takes charge of the gang. When an attempt to raid a military base for rations fails, Duo and his gang are taken in by Father Maxwell at a church orphanage. It is here that Duo is given his signature braid by a nunn, Sister Helen. When the orphanage is taken over by rebels, Duo steals a mobile suit to make them leave. Unfortunately, military forces storm the church and kill everyone there before he can return. Stowing away on a Sweeper ship in an attempt to leave L2, Duo is taken in by Doctor G, who is impressed by his hacking/computer skills. During intensive training to pilot the Gundam Deathscythe, Duo discovers that the colonists are plotting to use Deathscythe to destroy Earth. After a failed attempt to blow up the Gundam, Doctor G suggests that Duo steal it and become 'Shinigami' the God of Death. Duo takes Deathsycthe to Earth and joins Operation Meteor to fight for the colonies as a rebel terrorist.
